I had never thought that the distinction could also be seen as historical besides as just in words.Īnd Gutterslob, My eyes are bleeding :P :lolflag: I was thinking the translation of the word Άρης which is Ares which we call the planet Mars in Greek, cause more or less, and I don't mean to start an argument, Mars and Ares are the one and the same. Greek god of war is Ares, Mars is the roman god of war. I'm pretty sure Mars is the Roman god of war. Most people don't like bright white setups (poor retina quality, I say), but I think they're fine!! :P No disrespect to your lovely nation, but isn't he known as Ares in Greek mythology? (mythology ()) She and I both love felines and I have a feeling that when she sees it she's going to go "Squeeeeee!"Ĭhange of wallpaper, and first and last screenshots for this week I believe. Sweet! I'm going to have to send it to my sis. I can't recall who posted it, but it was one of those "had to have" things. I found the holiday-themed wallpaper through a post somewhere in the Forum. It's been a while since I posted desktop pictures, but this month I figured, "what the heck." After all, tis the season :) That's a nice twist on the OSX Leopard Space wall. It really looks good on grey.ĮDIT: I also switched to nitrogen for the wallpapers, thanks for pointing it out. lolīTW if you use firefox, and you switch to a grey desktop again, try the full flat theme () combined with the hide favicons addon () if you use the bookmarks bar. I like your desktops when I see them, and I liked mine yesterday but after several hours of a fully grey desktop I caught myself being angry at my computer. If you feel better with grey then go back to it. The thing I missed are the fadeout/fadein for closing/opening things which is sooooo smooth it makes compiz seem raw and clunky. There's nothing on the desktop and conky is as minimal as it gets (unless I change words with icons lol). Xcompmgr shadow values were recommended by tjwoosta, btw. and you need slightly stronger compositing values you somehow made your openbox feel like gnome (or maybe it's just your wallpaper that's deceiving me) O_o So I just created the file with just the 3 lines it needed, then added a string at the autostart file and it worked. I tried what several sites proposed to make xcompmgr work and they didn't. getting the hydroxygen icon set (folders) to copulate with Black-Gnome (buttons and tray) icons was a bit more tedious than I thought, though.
